Customized Arrangements for Every Occasion
Custom Floral Arrangement is another customer favorite at Scent & Violet. With custom flower arrangements customers can choose the type of flowers and colors they prefer, creating a truly personalized arrangement that perfectly suits their taste and special occasion. Disclaimer worth mentioning is custom arrangements are subject to seasonal availability and certain flower varieties and colors need to be requested two to three weeks in advance. We will always recommend different or similar options and let you decide what suits you best.

While our design style is mostly based on a European garden design with a modern twist, we love bringing in elements of Asian, South American and African floral schools of design (come to think of it – we should probably call our style Houstonian – diverse in color, style, and taste just as Houston is).

Luxury Flower Arrangements
What makes floral arrangements luxurious? Is it the choice of flowers? The size and shape of the arrangements? Scarcity and origin of flowers? Or is it the designer's touch that elevates a bouquet to luxury status? We believe it's all of these elements, either separate or combined. Certain flowers have a higher price per stem such as orchids, peonies, ranunculus, anthuriums, proteas, lilacs, calla lilies, etc. Some flowers are dainty and are needed in such large quantities to make an impact, that their price becomes very exuberant making them a luxury item, like lily of the valley or sweet pea. Certain flower varieties are grown on a very small scale, have a very short life span, or have to travel a long way to reach us making them high-priced, like peonies. Opulent arrangements require a notable amount of flowers making them luxurious in look and price. Certain floral design techniques and materials require a significant amount of design time and expertise making them luxurious in time and price. Eventually, almost every local florist runs into requests for luxurious flowers in floral arrangements when the budget only allows for modest flowers. We try our best to explain that certain flowers just cost more and it has not much to do with the quality of fresh flowers, and we are always happy to offer alternative flower arrangements.

We believe flowers can make you smile, make you stand out, and make perfect gift... It is clear we love flowers and while you might not share our fondness, sending flowers to someone is designed to make you look good and, you will look good by sending flowers from your local florist. Flower delivery options and flower delivery services keep growing (you have seen hardware stores selling bouquets, right? Grocery stores delivering flowers? Uber? Doordash?), but if you are looking for the best flower arrangement or best flower delivery, local florists are a way to go. Bouquets and Floral Arrangements
What is the difference between a floral arrangement and a flower bouquet? There are a few key differences between a floral arrangement and a flower bouquet: Floral arrangements are more complex to make and once completed they are the final product, ready to be placed (on the tabletop, sideboard, entry table, front desk, etc.). Floral arrangements are typically arranged in a vessel (vase, planter, dish). Bouquets are hand-tied floral arrangements and do not include a vase. Typically, the bouquet will be wrapped to protect the flowers. Floral wraps are also used as decorative material. Bouquets can be ready-do-go, created on the spot, or pre-ordered ahead of time. Gorgeous bouquets, such as bridal require careful planning and a long time to make.
Cash-n-Carry or Flower Delivery
Cash-n-Carry is a concept in retail where you make an immediate purchase during a store visit, pay on the spot (it does not have to be cash, any form of payment will do), and take your product with you. Most local florists have floral displays of ready-to-go bouquets and flower arrangements, and a selection of single flower stems you can pick at the spot. Delivery, or in this case a flower delivery is where the product you purchased is delivered to another location: it can be your house, someone else's residence, place of work, business location, funeral home or place of worship. You can use your own delivery service, or you can use the florist's flower delivery service.
