Retail Sales Associate
We have a job opening for Retail Sales Associate: part-time, afternoon/evenings
This is 20-30 H/week position with opportunity for full-time
Must be able to work afternoon/evening until 7:30 PM
Must be able to work some Saturdays
Must be authorized to work in the USA
Wage: $15 / hour
Description:
Retail Customer Service is both the face and the voice of the company. We look for candidates who enjoy being part of the small team that are energetic, compassionate, and committed to providing excellent customer service. This position does not offer floral design training
Responsibilities:
- Provides excellent customer service in person and over the telephone
- Addresses customers concerns and coordinates with Manager and Designer to ensure customer satisfaction
- Provides information regarding flowers, plants and, gifts to educate customers
- Enters and verifies customer/gift recipient information in POS (name, address and delivery date)
- Retrieves website orders and verifies the information
- Collects payment information and processes order according to training/shop procedures
- Follows shop policy regarding delivery times, additional gifts, and contact procedures
- Maintains confidential customer information.
- Confirms order details with designer and/or delivery driver
- Monitors orders status with designer and/or delivery driver to ensures customer satisfaction
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Product merchandising on the sales floor.
- Sweeping, cleaning and restocking product throughout the day to ensure a clean and attractive retail environment.
- Packaging and gift wrapping flowers and gifts selected by customer
- Performing light administrative activities, such as: data entry, filing, mailing, conducting inventory, etc.
- Supporting and assisting designers with design preparation activities that might include flower processing
Skills / requirements
- Maintains clean and professional appearance in accordance with our shop policy
- Great verbal and listening skills.
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Computer proficiency
- Responds calm, friendly, and encouraging in stressful and life-changing situations our customers can go through
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced close quarters environment
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Art and design oriented
- Gardening / floral / design lover preferred
