Let's talk about white lily

There are many legends about the origin of lilies. It is believed that in ancient Greece was dedicated to Hera, queen of heaven, guardians of marriage and offspring. It's believed that, after a few drops of her milk spilled on the universe, they formed a Milky Way, and the drops that fall on the Earth make a white lilies .

According to legend, white lilies sprung up on the spot where Jesus' tears and sweat dripped in the last moments of his life.

The most widespread is the belief that the white lily is Mary's flower, symbolizing her innocence and virginity. Generally, it's never missing in the motif of the Annunciation, where it's  a sign of Mary's chosenness and indicates Immaculate Conception.

White Lily is also a symbol of beauty, happiness, salvation and immortality. It is often used at weddings because it symbolizes the selection of a beloved being. Brides in ancient Greece, wore them on the wedding crowns, along with wheat ears of wheat.

Several times, in Holy Scripture, the lily is referred as a symbol of the most luxurious beauty, infallibility and chosenness.

What is certain is that the lily comes from Egypt and is considered ornamental and medicinal herb.

Anyway, pay attention if you are dreaming of white lilies, they are indicating wedding, happiness and prosperity in life.
